Clinical Objectives:
The students must meet these minimum requirements set forth by the US-DOT Paramedic Curricula. They may gain this through ambulance, ER, ICU, PEDS / OB, OR, and PSYCH departments in the hospital setting. The number after each objective is the minimum number of patients they must have contact with.

The Student will:
· Demonstrate the ability to safely administer medications. (15)
· Demonstrate the ability to safely perform endotracheal intubation. (5)
· Demonstrate the ability to safely gain venous access in all age group patients. (25)
· Demonstrate the ability to effectively ventilate unintubated patients of all age groups. (20)
· Demonstrate the ability to perform a comprehensive assessment on pediatric patients. (30)
· Demonstrate the ability to perform a compressive assessment on adult patients. (50)
· Demonstrate the ability to perform a comprehensive assessment on geriatric patients. (30)
· Demonstrate the ability to perform a comprehensive assessment on obstetric patients. (10)
· Demonstrate the ability to perform a comprehensive assessment on trauma patients. (40)
· Demonstrate the ability to perform a comprehensive assessment on psychiatric patients. (20)
· Demonstrate the ability to perform a comprehensive assessment on pediatric patients. (8)
· Demonstrate the ability to perform a comprehensive assessment, formulate and implement a   treatment plan for patients with chest pain. (30)
· Demonstrate the ability to perform a comprehensive assessment, formulate and implement a treatment plan for patients with dyspnea/respiratory distress. (20)
· Demonstrate and ability to perform a comprehensive assessment, formulate and implement a treatment plan for patients with abdominal complaints. (20)
· Demonstrate the ability to perform a comprehensive assessment, formulate and implement a treatment plan for patients with syncope. (10)
· Demonstrate the ability to perform a comprehensive assessment, formulate and implement a treatment plan for patients with altered mental status. (20)
· Demonstrate the ability to serve as a team leader in a variety of pre-hospital emergency situations. (50)
