Lecture & Skills Classes

 Attendance Policy: 100% attendance will be expected for all Paramedic students. Excuses for absenteeism will be directed at the Paramedic Instructor/Coordinator. Absences will be allowed for valid and significant reasons. Make-up hours or work will be assigned and agreed upon by the course instructor and the student. Additional costs may apply if individual make-up is required ($25 per hour).

Mid Program Interviews: Paramedic programs will be evaluated frequently – this will be an opportunity for the student, instructor, and Program Director and/or designee to privately discuss the program or student progress. If a student has concerns that cannot be re-mediated in this interview, a process will be initiated using appropriate counselors.

Clinicals

A          All clinical hours completed by end of semester.

            All evaluations turned in for every shift.

                 - Positive comments/feedback

            Clinical Tracking Form signed by preceptors.

            FISDAP entries completed w/ narratives.

B          Clinical hours completed after semester end.

            All evaluations turned in for every shift.

                  -Positive comments/feedback

            FISDAP entries completed w/ narratives.

C          Clinical hours not completed within the following

              semester of the original semester. (Summer hours

              completed in Spring)

             All evaluations turned in for every shift.    

                   -Negative comments/feedback

             FISDAP entries completed but missing narratives.

F           Hours not completed.

             Missing preceptor signatures.

             FISDAP entrie incomplete. 

IP          This will be given until requirements are met after

             a semester ends.
